Intro to All-Star Cheer will teach your child the fundamentals of Cheer. Girls and boys, aged 5-12, will learn counts, positions, dance, stunt, and basic tumbling to build a choreographed routine each week during practice. Practices are 55 minutes each, one day per week. Athletes will wear a uniform to perform for families & friends at a Pride Event. Class uses USASF curriculum.
Our Novice Program is for cheerleaders who are new to All-Star but ready for performance-based teams that are evaluated at events. Novice teams focus on strengthening technique and performance skills that help prepare athletes for competitive All-Star teams! Half Year Novice (HYPE) are for families and athletes who aren’t able to commit to a full year team.
Pride Prep Cheer Teams are for individuals with limited tumbling who want to strengthen technique and performance skills in a competitive team atmosphere. Prep teams require less cost commitments, but we require the same time commitment as that required of an All-Star Elite team.
The Elite Cheer Program is for individuals with strong cheer training and solid technical ability at their level of skill. Elite teams are comprised of athletes who are ready for a highly competitive performance level. Athletes are placed on Elite teams by their birth year, maximum skill in level, and what the team role will be for that season.
Female gymnasts, aged 5-18 years, are encouraged to continue their athletic careers by joining a Pride Gymnastics Team.
Girls who show interest and dedication to their gymnastic skills may be invited to join our PreTeam Program, Crystals. There, young gymnasts will continue improving their technical skills while learning competition basics. Gymnasts who show the desire to compete and the ability to memorize routines and work in a team environment are invited to try out for one of our two teams, Copper or USAG.
Our non-sanctioned team, Copper, is for gymnasts who wish to experience the challenge and camaraderie of team gymnastics without the more stringent skill and training requirements of our sanctioned team. Copper Team gymnasts practice less hours per week and compete locally in 4-5 Invitational meets and 1 Championship meet.
Our USAG-sanctioned XCEL and Developmental Program (DP) Teams compete at 6-8 meets locally and regionally (within 5 hours of St. Louis). Gymnasts who achieve a qualifying score at a USAG invitational meet will compete at the Illinois USA Gymnastics State Series Meet.
Our Power Tumbling Team is for male and female athletes aged 4-18 years. These tumblers compete in divisions ranging from SubBeginner to Elite in Double Mini Trampoline, Trampoline, and Tumbling events at local, regional, and national meets.
Itty Bitty Kitties, ages 4-5, practice and compete from September through April at local events within two hours of the gym. Our tiny tumblers experience the same competition environments as our bigger athletes with time and travel commitments geared to developing attention spans and skills.
Cubs, Cats, Jungle Cats, Lions, and Wild Lions Squads compete at events within the local and regional areas at sanctioned meets in USTA and USAG. These beginner and intermediate power tumblers build confidence and make lasting friendships while continuing to improve their technical skills and competition focus. Jungle Cats and Wild Lions Squads are geared for beginner and intermediate tumblers who are ready for more commitment and more competition.
Wild Things and Kings & Queens Squads, our intermediate to elite power tumblers, compete regionally and nationally at USTA and USAG-sanctioned meets. These athletes require more dedication and focus as they master upper-level skills and compete against top-tier athletes in the country.
