PRIDE TEAMS

OUR COACHING PHILOSOPHY

We Believe

Our coaching staff believes that the most important pay-offs from participation in these sports last much longer than trophies, banners, or medals handed out on competition day. It is as important to us to teach life skills such as teamwork, goal-setting, perseverance, and dedication as it is to teach skills. We foster a culture of positive energy that produces better athletes and better people!

Whether your athlete is well seasoned or just starting out, we are confident that our program is a positive place to grow!

GYMNASTICS

ABOUT OUR TEAMS

Pride's gymnastics teams offer two styles of competitive gymnastics teams
for gymnasts ages 5-18.

~Our non-sanctioned team, Copper, is for gymnasts who wish to experience the challenge and camaraderie of team gymnastics without the more stringent skill and training requirements of our sanctioned team.

~Our USAG-sanctioned XCEL and Junior Olympics/Developmental Program (JO/DP) Teams are a good fit for athletes that are ready for more training time and a more stringent program. These teams compete at 6-8 meets locally and regionally (within 5 hours of St. Louis).

CHEER

HYPE Teams

Pride HYPE Cheer Teams provide a foundation in competitive cheerleading for boys and girls from 3 to 14 years old. These teams are a great fit for cheerleaders looking for all the fun and excitement of our full-year programs while keeping the stress of competing light and fun during the early learning stages.

This introductory program runs during the School Year, practicing and training during the fall to attend exhibitions in the winter and spring. Most events are held within the St. Louis region, minimizing travel time and costs. Cheerleaders are placed on teams based on their birth year and will learn to tumble, jump, stunt, and dance to complete choreographed routines for their Exhibition-style events.

HYPE teams practice one day per week for 60-90 minutes, depending on age and team. Practices begin the week following Labor Day Weekend and continue through the last event scheduled, estimated mid-April.

Registration opens in August.
